With spring well and truly sprung we headed off for a new wedding venue, the fantastic Eynsham Hall which is in Oxfordshire. Although we had had Leanne & Daniel’s pre-wedding shoot at the Hall it is always a nerve racking experience shooting a wedding in new surroundings but we need not have worried as the staff were extremely helpful and the we had bags of choice for shooting locations.
While Andrea disappeared to the Bride’s room I made myself busy shooting the details of the wedding breakfast including the fantastic cakes made by Caked In It. Thence to the bar to find the groom and prise him away from his pint to get the photographs of him and his Groomsmen.
Meanwhile Andrea was having a hoot in the bridal suite photographing a very smiley bride and her bridesmaids.
Once finished with the groom I left him to his pint, and his nerves, to go to the bridal suite to get Leanne’s bridal portraits. She looked fantastic and was so easy to work with.
Thence to the ceremony. A big thank you to the Oxfordshire registrars who allow us free reign to get in amongst the ceremony to get in close for the important shots, while we try to be as discreet as possible for the majority of the ceremony access at the important moments is a real boon.
Now wedded we left the new Mr & Mrs Hughes to spend time with their guests while we organised the area we had scouted out for the group shots; we try to get through group shots as quickly as possible so having everything ready beforehand really speeds them up. Group shots done, we once again left the bride & groom to their guest while we circulated getting those candid moments that capture the spirit of the wedding.
And before the happy couple finally got to sit down we took them to capture the shots of just the two of them. We just had to get some of those shots in the amazing Gun Room Bar.
Finally the wedding breakfast, speeches, cake and home for us and the party for Leanne & Daniel.
